Terence Donovan’s first book, printed in a small number in 1964 at The Kynock Press to showcase the work of 1963 D&AD winners. Unlike his contemporaries, Donovan was uninterested in making books, or indeed retrospectives of his work, despite being one of the leading lights of the new wave of sixties fashion photography. His second book was not published until the eighties, and retrospectives of his work were until recently seldom. His early work, in an almost cinema verite style, came to define Swinging London and the seismic social shift that took place in the sixties.
