Despite the sheer ubiquity of the roller skating craze of the late 70s and early 80s there is not much by way of serious documentation, and a lot of what does exist completely misses the point. This isn’t perfect, but just about the best you’re going to get – in that actual roller skaters were involved, good ones too, and a few of the serious spots are covered. New York and LA heavy but still, it’s the best book around on the subject.
