Punk’s Dead is a collection of photographs from taken between 1976 to 1978 by British photographer Simon Barker, aka SIX who was a member of the legendary Bromley Contingent. The photographs offer a rare and intimate account from this period and capture the unruly spirit of the burgeoning British punk rock scene. Barker snapped these photos with a cheap pocket camera whilst he was living in London’s Saint James Hotel, while surrounded by some of the most eccentric and important representatives of the burgeoning British punk movement, including Malcolm McLaren, Sid Vicious, Jordan, Siouxsie Sioux, Poly Styrene and The Slits. Great!
