Despite the name this exploitation style book covers New York, Chicago, Detroit ,Fort Apache (Arizona), Mexican border patrols, prostitutes and cross dressers in Hawaii. I genuinely don’t know what to make of this book. It could be an undercover documentary on crime, policing and urban conditions in America or an exploitation style cash in on the fairly universal taste for blood, guts and fighting. For sure the body count is heavy- the book is full of corpses, crime scenes and people in pretty terrible states being arrested and/or beaten. Plus prostitutes, Chicago gangs, violence in Detroit and down and outs in New York.
