Ristelhueber’s first book. She was originally comissioned to write the text for the book- by her future husband and Viva member Francois Hers, but unable to contribute text she instead contributed photographs. The book is divided into two parts, the first are colour interiors (by Hers), and the second are black & white photographs of the occupants (by Ristelhueber). Originally comissioned to document social housing in Wallonia and seeing a lack of coherence in the housing stock, Hers instead chose to focus in the interiors, and their saturation of space with patterns, furniture, objects and tapestries.
