Experimental ‘paper theatre’ book from Terayama. The principles behind Terayama’s paper theatre were that a book or object can embody the narrative and spirit of a play rather than simply portray it, through text, photograph, drawing and collage. This- Blue Woman Theory, hypothesised that youth is essentially a masculine concept, and that the feminine is defined by something else, “There is a word “blue woman” for “youth”, as there is “girl” for “boys”. To be free from being “married”. That is the condition of “blue women” first. And being released from the spell of “femininity” will be a step to live as a new woman.”
